Our mission
Car Accident Claims
Car accidents can be an inconvenience at best, and a traumatic and overwhelming experience at worst. After a car accident, depending on its outcome and severity, you may likely need the assistance of an auto accident lawyer who will go up against the insurance company so you can focus on what’s important – getting the right treatment to help heal your injuries.
If you were injured in a car accident, you probably have many questions, such as how and who will pay and/or reimburse for your medical expenses, vehicle repairs, lost earnings, as well as your general pain and suffering.
At Azimi Law Firm, have a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of car accident law and the auto insurance industry, which can become quite complex and frustrating to deal with. This comes from our extensive experience in handling a variety of vehicle accident cases. We provide compassionate, comprehensive service and skilled legal representation to our clients, which allows you to focus on getting the right treatment and feeling better, while you allow us to deal with the different agencies and get the best settlement for your individual case.
How much does a car accident lawyer cost?
Typically, a car accident lawyer’s fees are “contingent” upon obtaining a recovery for you – that means there is no out-of-pocket expenses for you, and there will be no fee if there is no recovery. We offer our clients property damage settlement without a fee, and when we do resolve your bodily injury claim, you will be charged a percentage of the damages we obtained for you, out of your injury settlement. These percentages can vary depending on how far the case goes, but they will be clearly laid out for you in the retainer agreement.
What is my car accident case worth?
The value or worth of your claim is determined on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately, there is no clear cut formula to determine the value of your case, as there are a variety of factors at play, and often it will depend on the nature and extent of your injuries and the degree of defendant’s negligence. Below are some of the factors that influence the amount of damages you may be able to collect.
1) Vehicle Damage: The insurance company will assess the extent of damages to your vehicle. You will be able to seek compensation or reimbursement for any repairs that were done on your vehicle or, if your car was totaled, the fair market value of your vehicle.
2) Medical Expenses: You may seek compensation for all medical expenses resulting from the accident, including ambulance transportation, emergency room costs, hospital visits, chiropractor and/or specialist visits, surgery, cost of medication, and more.
3) Lost Income: This includes any wages or income and benefits you may have lost as a result of your injuries and inability to work. You may also include lost earning capacity/future earnings. This is often the case where victims have suffered catastrophic injuries such as amputations, paralysis or traumatic brain injuries and are unable to return to work or earn a livelihood.
4) Pain and Suffering: These are known as non-economic losses or damages that cannot be easily quantified. This includes compensation for the physical pain and discomfort you experience after the accident, as well as emotional suffering. Many car accident victims suffer from psychological issues such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD.
5) Loss of Consortium: If you are married, you and/or your spouse may also be entitled to loss of consortium, or “loss of companionship” resulting from your injuries, which can result in lack of intimacy between you and your significant other, and can also include significant hardship to your spouse in having to undertake additional responsibility and cost to help care for you.
